How to read this board
Standing bid is what the current holder paid, and it sets the price to take the spot from them. Walk-bys is how many times a player has physically passed that surface in the city; visits is how many clicked through to the brand. Both are public on every holding page, which is the point — you can see what a placement is actually delivering before you decide it is worth outbidding.
These are deduplicated counts, not raw hits. A walk-by is counted at most once per visitor per hour and a visit at most once per visitor per six hours, and the visitor is identified server-side rather than by anything the browser can set — so the same person wandering past the same billboard fifty times is one walk-by, and nobody can inflate their own numbers. Known crawlers and bots are excluded entirely. The effect is that these figures lean conservative: everyone sharing an office network or VPN counts once, which understates rather than overstates what a spot delivers. Numbers you spend money against should err in that direction.
Rank here is not a single global ladder. A billboard on a main street and a rooftop on a tower are different products with different audiences, so this board is split by type rather than collapsing everything into one number. Two brands do not have to fight over the same pixel to both get seen.
Why the numbers move
Holdings change hands constantly. A spot claimed for $1 this morning can be taken this afternoon by anyone willing to pay more, and the previous holder can take it straight back. There is no lock-in period and no auction close — the board is always live. Towers move less often because they are priced by size, so a tall tower carries a real floor price that resets the bar for anyone trying to take it.
